The future
of smart farming.
A national agriculture ecosystem connecting Uganda’s farms, buyers, advisors, and the systems that serve them — one intelligent platform, built in Uganda, for Uganda.
Farming
needs intelligence.
Half of every smallholder’s margin disappears between harvest and market. Weather catches farms off-guard. Expert advice never arrives when pests strike. The problem has never been skill or hard work — Uganda’s farmers have those in abundance. What’s missing is access — to markets, to information, to opportunity.
This is not a niche problem.
It is Uganda’s economy.
Mukono, Uganda — where the question was first asked.
Built by students.
Born on a farm.
AgriHub didn’t begin in a boardroom. It began on Uncle George’s farm in Mukono, when one of us — Team Groot, students from Uganda — heard a farmer say he had the skills, but not the tools and information to use them the way they deserve.
We researched across Uganda and found the same gap everywhere: access. So we built one platform to close it — markets, weather, experts, logistics and intelligence in a single ecosystem. And basic access stays free for farmers. Always.
Read our storySeven modules.
One ecosystem.
AgriHub isn’t a marketplace bolted to an advisory blog. It’s a single intelligence layer where every actor — farmer, buyer, advisor, transporter — sees the same picture. The seven modules share one data spine.
Smart Farming
Crop tracking, farm records, irrigation schedules, soil analytics, yield prediction.
01Weather Intelligence
Hyperlocal forecasts, drought alerts, wind analysis, climate-smart farming recommendations.
02Marketplace
Verified produce listings, smart search, negotiation, delivery requests, inventory.
03AI Advisory
Crop recommendations, disease detection from photo, fertilizer advice, pest prevention.
04Community
Forums, expert consultations, farmer discussions, group knowledge sharing.
05Logistics
Truck requests, route tracking, delivery coordination, storage booking.
06Analytics
Regional yield reports, crop trends, weather heatmaps, market intelligence.
07One login, every tool
Farmers, buyers, advisors, suppliers, transporters and admins — each with a dashboard built for them.
See how it works →One account. The whole journey — from seed to sale.
From registration to payment.
In five steps.
Seven modules sound like a lot. Using them doesn’t feel like it — one account carries you through the whole season:
- 1. Create one account — choose your role: farmer, buyer, expert, transporter or agribusiness. Each gets a dashboard built for them.
- 2. Set up in minutes — a farmer maps plots and lists produce; a buyer sets the districts and crops they source from.
- 3. Farm with intelligence — weather, soil and crop reminders arrive daily; AgriBot and human experts answer when problems appear.
- 4. Trade direct — verified listings in UGX, negotiation in-app, mobile money settles it. No broker takes a cut.
- 5. Deliver and grow — logistics moves the load with GPS tracking, the harvest log learns from the season, and the next one starts smarter.
Your farm, on one screen.
Run the farm like a system.
Crop calendar, plot mapping, inputs ledger and harvest log — the diary, the soil-test sheet and the irrigation timer become one connected layer. The farmer sees the answers; the platform does the work underneath.
Explore Smart FarmingFrom field, to buyer, to next harvest — one continuous data layer.
Direct produce, no broker tax.
Verified farms list in UGX. Buyers source by district, crop, or vendor. Mobile money settles on collection. No commission ever cut from farmer income.
Explore the marketplaceExtension knowledge,
always on.
Curated articles from verified extension officers, plus AgriBot — an AI co-pilot trained on Ugandan agronomy who answers in plain language and cites the source.
Live signals,
made readable.
Every farm gets a private view of the data that matters today — weather, soil, market price — surfaced as plain answers, not dashboards.
Verified farms.
Direct supply.
Browse produce from 50+ founding farmers across eight districts. Every listing verified. Every price in UGX. Every payment direct to the farm.
Sold it?
Now move it.
Truck requests matched to verified drivers, GPS on every load, SMS handshakes at pickup and delivery, partner warehouses when buyers can’t collect — and every movement feeds the district-level analytics that institutions and cooperatives plan with.
Hyperlocal weather. Crop-specific alerts. Surfaced before they bite.
AgriHub models rainfall, humidity and frost risk at district resolution — then pushes the answer a farmer needs, not the chart a meteorologist would read.
Voices from the field.
“AgriHub gave my coffee a fair price for the first time in eight seasons. No broker, no haggling, just the buyer.”
One platform.
Six kinds of winners.

What we do differently.
On purpose.
Free for farmers, always
Basic access never costs a farmer anything. The platform earns from services around the trade — never from produce.
No commission on produce
What the buyer pays is what the farmer keeps. No broker tier, no hidden cut.
Everyone is verified
Farmers, buyers, experts and drivers all pass verification before they trade. Trust is the default.
One data spine
Weather informs irrigation. Harvests inform the marketplace. Movement informs analytics. The modules multiply each other.
